I have been a fitness enthusiast for many years and enjoy everything exercise… My struggle comes to balance and this is what Jamie at 212 fitness has taught me.

What do I say about 212 Fitness?  Let me start by saying I have been a fitness enthusiast for many years and enjoy everything exercise… It really is my happy place.  I also enjoy food!  I think this is where I needed the most help. Most of the time I ate salad, fish, veggies and little carbs and then the weekend would come along and I would binge out!!  Talk about a carb comma!! Oh and did I mention I LOVE wine and vodka, lol.

My struggle comes to balance and this is what Jamie at 212 fitness has taught me.  I had the pleasure of working along side Jaime a few years back and always admired her dedication to her clients, her knowledge and her ability to cut through the crap.  There is no sugar coating there…she’ll tell you how it is and expect the same direct honesty from her clients.  I was very excited to get the opportunity to be Jaime’s client.

When I signed up for the 12 Week Challenge I really needed to change things up.  Change my diet, my training and my mind process.  212 Fitness gave me a program that was directly suited for what I was looking for and some things I wasn’t.  My training before consisted of a lot of body weight style stuff, interval and HIIT training…and a lot of cardio :(.  My new program was completely different, WAY less cardio and wait for it…WAY MORE FOOD!  It’s pretty hard to wrap your head around this if you’re like me and are a little scared of eating carbs late at night or over a certain amount of calories!  YET my body was changing for the better, not only was I leaning out more but I really didn’t feel deprived. It was a very simple plan to follow and a lot of fun too!  I was able to feed my family the same food I was eating everyday which made a big difference at home…I was no longer cooking two different meals, one for me and one for my hubby and kids.  Yes that is right, I have 3 children, 1 husband, 2 dogs and a cat.  I work full time and my kids are in activities out of school…so needless to say I am a very busy person.

But you know what…If you want it bad enough you can make it work.  I get up at 5 every morning (okay most mornings) and do my exercise.  It makes my day!  On the days I don’t get up I make time in the evening cause I have goals!  Working with Jamie has been amazing.  Even being a trainer myself I have learned so much about nutrition, balance and eating for my goals.  And I have a whole bunch of new exercises to add to knowledge.  I would recommend 212 Fitness to anyone (and have)!  It really comes down to investing in your life and future.  Yes maybe you sign up for 12 weeks or however long but what you take from it will last you a life time.  I will apply the principals I learned in this process every day and am so happy for this journey.
