I’ve always been concerned about the number on the scale instead of how I look and feel, and somewhere in the middle of my journey that completely switched!

When people read testimonials they usually immediately look for the numbers, and although I’m very proud of my numbers, I want to first talk about the biggest changes and the successful strategies that got me to the numbers.
This journey was so much more than following a food plan and lifting weights — the biggest transformation happened in my brain.

I have for a number of years ate fairly clean and would say I was active, so when I agreed to the challenge I wasn’t expecting to learn and change in the ways I did. I’ve always been concerned about the number on the scale instead of how I look and feel and somewhere in the middle of my journey that completely switched! I didn’t always see a huge number drop on the scale, which can be frustrating when that’s where your focus is; my gains in strength at the gym and my loss of inches were so noticeable the scale slowly started to matter less and less. 212 Fitness helped me to switch my focus with some grueling mental exercises and no bull crap feedback, which we all need! This plan was so carefully put together for me as an individual that every three weeks I was shocked with the results. If you want to be successful it’s simple, just do what they say! Another tip that really helped me is get a friend or a group of you to sign up and support each other. There was a number of us going through the process together which meant I always had someone to workout with and keep me on track with healthy eating. In fact, meeting for Tupperware lunches and workouts has become my social life and I love it!

The hardest part of my journey, as I am a perfectionist and very goal driven, was not beating myself up and being patient with the process. Jamie went above and beyond what a normal coach would do to teach me to respect and be proud of what I have and my accomplishments instead of only focusing on where I want to be. Although I DISLIKED her very much for it at the time, I cannot thank her enough for continually pushing me to expand mentally as that change is far bigger than any number!

Okay here are the numbers:

  • Starting weight 146 lbs, after 12 weeks 137 lbs
  •
I lost 13 inches total but gained some inches in areas that matter, like my jacked up pipes!! Lol
  • My body fat percentage is well below 20%, which makes me ecstatic
  • I know these numbers aren’t typical but are just as important to me so I thought I would share:
    •
I started out curling 12.5 lb Db and at the end of 12 weeks I’m curling 30 lbs
    • Dead lifts started 55 lbs after 12 weeks 135
    •
Squats 65 lbs after 12 weeks 155 lbs

These numbers have become what matter. That and the fact that 12 weeks ago I wouldn’t have posted my photos for everyone to judge after 12 weeks. Go ahead and judge away – I know what I HAVE accomplished and what I WILL accomplish and am very PROUD of myself!
