FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We have included all of our frequently asked questions here; however, if you still have a question after reading this page, please feel free to contact me directly by email at: talk2us@212fitness.ca. You can also go to the 212 Fitness Facebook page. Either way, you will be communicating directly with me, Jamie Postill – you will not receive an automated response.

Once you have purchased the program, you will receive access to our Intake Form and General Service Agreement (a link will be emailed to you).  Once the Intake information has been filled out and submitted with all information required, a complete and accurate picture of where you are starting is formed.  If any further information is needed, we will email you with further questions to help complete the intake process.  All new programs will be put on a list in the order they are received, with an approximate turn around time of 3-5 business days.  Please keep this in mind if you have a particular start date in mind or need material to begin your program on a specific day.  We will do our best to accommodate any requests.  All programs are custom made on an individual basis and require time to create each program to meet your unique needs.
See Training Options and if you require help deciding on where to begin, contact us for assistance!
As part of the intake process, we ask you all of this information – this program is based on you, what do you need, want and have time for.  So the program will be created to fit your needs.  We can work with whatever equipment, time and space you have available.
No, it is not expensive. You are already spending money on food – what you are spending it on will just change.  It is very easy to buy healthy food in bulk and save extra money that way.  You will also find with less eating out and fewer “extra’s” on the grocery bill, you will end up spending less in the long term.

It isn’t difficult. You are already eating several times a day.  It will  however, take a change in your perspective on how you are taking your food in and WHY. This is something we work with you on doing.  It does require some changes on your part, which can be challenging at first, but we walk you through it.

It can be if you are not prepared. This is something we help you with: how to plan ahead, organize your week, pre-pack your meals and cook in bulk.  Once you get the hang of some of these time saving tasks, it will actually save you time every day.  Some people find eating multiple times per day time consuming, but once you become accustomed to it and see that you aren’t sitting down to full “meals” it really isn’t all that much time in the day.
No, we give you numerous choices for all macronutrients (carbohydrates, protein, fats).  You get to pick your vegetables and fruits.  If you prefer less options, we can do that as well.
Yes, I am fully certified in Nutrition and have worked with countless clients who have specific food requirements.  I have found that by being on a balanced meal plan of whole foods, we have been able to control, and in certain circumstances, reduce symptoms.
Yes, I have extensive experience working with both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetics.  Type 2 diabetes is directly related to your diet and once your weight is under control, your symptoms will be gone.  Type 1 diabetes is much more manageable on a balanced meal plan.
Definitely! We take that into consideration when planning your workouts and meal plan.  We’ve had great success working with new Moms!
Supplements are NOT the foundation to you transforming your body… at all.  Hard work in the gym and consistent, solid, healthy nutrition is.  No supplement will replace that.  We do provide a list of recommended supplements but you do not have to take them. They are suggested to support optimal health more than anything because THAT will help you achieve your goals; being in consistent, good health.
You get TREAT meals! Cheating implies that you are doing something bad and not “allowed” on your meal plan. We fully support taking a break and enjoying something off plan.  Call it what you want – we like positive words.  Depending on your program, you may get 1 meal, 2 meals, 1/2 day or a full day off your program.  Alcohol is not recommended (beyond 1 drink). If you’re going to overhaul your life, why sabotage it with a bunch of booze that eats your muscle and leaves you feeling gross?  Hmmmm…think about that one.
Again, this will depend on YOU; how much time you have available, and if you need to or want to.  Most people will start at 3-4 days/week for 45-60 minutes.  We don’t recommend workouts longer than 60 minutes ever and encourage our clients to keep their workouts to 60 minutes or less.  “Quality not quantity” and “less is more” are two things we often say at 212 Fitness! Make your time in the gym COUNT!
If you can read, follow instructions, have some self-motivation and are 100% ready to change your life… then this is the right program for you.  If you’ve already taken steps in your life to make changes and are looking to “up” your game, then this is a great place to start for you as well.
If you are not doing any personal training, no. In-person time is not included in the cost of the online program.
100% yes it does.  People all over, now more than ever, are using online trainers to achieve their goals.  This goes back to the “quality not quantity” philosophy I operate by. Not all personal trainers are certified to even talk about nutrition during a workout session.  There is no way that I personally could provide the kind of help that I do in a one hour workout, 2-3 times/week.  Providing the tools for effective, long-term, quantifiable change takes time and has proven to be very successful via online training.
You can do the 212 Meal Plan only, but we do not currently offer a stand-alone workout plan. We do not offer one-time meal plans or workouts at this time.
Yes, you will need to send both as required and both will be needed for the intake of the 12 Week Program and when requested.  You will receive instructions with your program on how often to send pictures and measurements.  You will be responsible for taking measurements and pictures yourself.
This completely depends on you, how you apply the tools given, and how your body responds.  Everyone is different, so this is impossible to answer accurately.  However, you WILL see results! You might feel them first, but we encourage you to not focus only on what you see!
No, we don’t offer refunds.  If you begin a program and a medical emergency comes up, with proper documentation we may put your program on hold or transfer to a different program more suitable for your needs.  Why no refunds?  Either you’re going to do this or you aren’t.  We ask you to commit 100% to changing and being open to what’s required to do that.  If you aren’t, please wait to begin your program when you are ready.
